Why do I need a scale?

Testimonials

Timmy: Custom Applicator

“Hard to imagine life without that scale. Saves a lot of time at the end of a job if you know exactly what you have left.”

Warren Friesen: Affinity Ag

If you pay attention to the remaining passes and measure the length of a pass, you can always finish with just a touch left over. The time saving was the biggest thing for me. Next to less stress on knowing where you’re at

Paul Penner: Fine Line Applicators

I think I’ve had mine a year and a half. So far trouble free except for a scale head that didn’t work right from the start which got repaired under warranty. I’d say for me scales are more about less stress and being able to load the right amount of seed or fertilizer out of farmers bins or trucks. We haven’t ever recalibrated since the first time and this fall we checked them against weighed loads from Richardson and they were within 50kgs on a 7MT fill. I wouldn’t want to run without scales after having run with. Often farmers have no idea how much fertilizer they have in their bins and it just takes the guess work out of the equation.

Fertilizer is one of the most expensive inputs on a farm. No manufacturer is making floaters with scales on them, so we are filling that hole. We wanted a scale so we built a scale! Now we pride ourselves with creating easy accuracy along with great data storage.

Scales can be mounted on any of the major 4 floater manufacturers. These scales can accurately measure how much fertilizer is still in your floater!

This saves $1000s of dollars by not over applying. On the custom applicators side of the equation, it will save you loads of time because you will never be cleaning out your floater at the end of every field, it can be empty on the last pass, every time. Do you pull fertilizer from your own bin or a farmer’s bin? No more questions about how much is in the floater. Always know what is going down where and at what rate.

Some people ask this question!

Our floater is accurate, why should we put a scale on our floater?
  1. Fields aren’t all square, the last few passes can make you sit on the edge of you seat. Now you don’t need to! Our scales can keep you acting in front of your application rather than reacting after!
  2. You don’t always know what the truck is bringing! Whether from a farmers bin or a hopper trailer, always know what you have on your floater.
  3. Your floater is to expensive to have it sitting idle. Always having the floater right full when your truck leaves the field increases effiency! Bringing out a bigger odd size load?  Calculate off your scale to leave the last 8 tons in your floater when the truck leaves for the next load. Keep the wheels turning, the acres counting, and your profits climbing!
